SEDA Technology Programme (STP) Grant
The SEDA Technology Programme (STP) provides a mix of financial and non-financial support to help small enterprises acquire technology, improve quality control, and access technical support.
• Who Qualifies: South African-owned start-ups, small enterprises, and co-operatives. Priority is given to youth-owned, women-owned, and township/rural-based firms. Must be registered with CIPC and have at least 6 months of trading history.
• What it Covers: Non-repayable grants up to a maximum of R600,000 to assist small businesses with quality control systems, conformity assessments, sector certifications (e.g., food safety or packaging standards), and technology transfer transactions.
• How to Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form along with a viable business plan, financial records, and official quotes for the technical services or equipment required. Contact your nearest local SEDA branch or co-location point to initiate a diagnostic assessment.
